John the helper!

So Paul came home from work yesterday and went out to mow the lawn before the rain came.  John insisted on going outside despite my wanting to keep him in to potty train.  So I diapered him up and sent him out.  He immediately got his mower and started following Paul all around the yard.  It was so cute!  He followed him around the ENTIRE yard with his mower for about 20 minutes!  Needless to say, he passed out right after dinner from exhaustion!

So it's been awhile since I last blogged!  I can't believe Ryan will be two months old next week already!  Time is flying!!  We've settled into a nice routine and I am truly loving my time home with my boys.  John just adores Ryan and is always helping me in any way he can.  I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful family!  Hopefully I'll be able to keep up with this a little better than I started out!

So after running upstairs for a minute this is what I came back to.

John's officially a big brother!

John just loves his baby brother!

John has been so excited about the baby in mommy's belly.  Now he's officially a big brother and has also realized that a two year old playmate didn't pop out to play choo-choos and dinos.  John has been such a big helper always helping mom hold the diapers and turning on Ryan's music.  He loves to kiss, hug and touch baby Ryan. There might also be a little sibling rivalry starting, but I guess that comes along with the territory.

Enter Ryan Daniel

After an unexpected and speedy 5 hours, Ryan Daniel decided to make his grand entrance.  It started at midnight on 3/24 and we weren't sure it was even the real deal.  Once we realized it was, we booked it to the hospital and arrived at 4am and Ryan arrived 42 minutes later!  Whew, that was a close one!

John and Mommy's Snow Day ~ Tuesday, 2/22

Hmm.... who's been teaching my son to make snowballs?  He totally initiated a snowball fight with me!

He insisted on having his sweatshirt hood on his head in addition to the hat!  Good look, John!

And the snowballs in our fight continued to grow larger... fun times!

Okay, enough of the fun, now Mommy decided it was time to teach John something more useful... shoveling!

Mommy's little helper... next time I have to remember to teach him to shovel on the driveway and sidewalk rather than the grass, haha!

Sledding Adventure!

We took John sledding at Laurel Acres.  He loves it and is already a pro at 2 1/2!!!  By the time we were done, he was going down by himself in his new snowtube Grandpa got him for Christmas!

The Beginning
